Reply from CWK on Mar 24 at 12:56 PM Christy -- We sometimes create serialized equipment masters for materials that have no SAP serialization requirements (either because they have no serial number profile or because they have a serial number profile that blocks serialization within SAP order creation, inspection, delivery, etc. for business reasons). We create equipment masters (in our world) for a small subset of materials that are acquired outside (purchased or sent directly from business partners) that DO have serial numbers on their identification labels and which we wish to track inside IBases (so we do create the equipment masters with a material and serial number). SAP is fine with this. You can even create an equipment master for a material with a dimensional unit of measure (such as wire) -- why you'd do this is another question. While our Plant Maintenance people have lots of equipment masters that do not have material/serial numbers, we do not use equipment masters to identify the non-serialized products we build. Where are you going with this? Is it your intention to put an identification label on your non-serialized product using the equipment master number? Regards, Carl

Has anyone done customizations to enable tracking of (1 or many) items in Equipment Master that are not serialized? If so, how.
