You're trying to update the wrong deletion flag, I think. Keep in mind that there is a deletion flag at the Purchasing Organization level, and also one at the Company Code level. This second one is the LFB1-LOEVM field, so it is not surprising that you get the error while in XK99 at the Purchasing data level (LFM1).

I am trying to use XK99 to flag a list of vendors for deletion but only in specific Purchasing Organizations. In "Tables" I select "Vendor master record purchasing organization data". I add the list of vendors and the list of specific Purchasing Organizations. In the next step I select the field "Delete flag for purchasing organization". I check it off and copy it down and execute. When I check the vendor in MK06 it has not been flagged for deletion. What am I missing?
