Materials will automatically extend to a location when stock is transferred into it. The only time you need to extend is if you wish to cycle count the location when the material has never been there before.

Subject: Material Creation and Extension is Taking More Time
There around 160 locations X 657 Storage locations, so one material extension is ending up with 105120 transactions . which is taking more time.
As weekly we will get 500 new materials and needs to be extended to all the locations is taking days' time and business is not happy with the delay.
Whenever we schedule a back-end job, it's going to held state.
Currently we have more than 1.25 crore material references in the data base.
We suggested them to extend the materials on need basis whenever they are uploading the stocks as a work around but the business is expecting every material should be extended to all locations irrespective of usage.
Can anyone please give some pointers to resolve this issue? |
