Hi Fred,

You may want to check SPRO > LE > WM > Strategies > Activate Storage Bin
Type Search > Storage Unit Types. I suspect that you may need to enter a
capacity in here for your SU.

I have found OSS note 392776 useful when playing with capacities before, as
it explains all of the settings.

Regards,
Mark

Subject: Capacity check in WM

Hi:
I am having an issue setting up capacity and I am hoping you can help me.

Scenario: When I received part XYZ into stock I want WM to look to see if XYZ exists in any of the bin and if there is capacity available enter the parts into the bin but if the capacity is full put it to next empty bin. I do not want to use fixed bin functionality.

Here is my current settings:

Stock Type:
Putaway strategies: "I" Addition to existing stock
Mixed storage: Blank
Addn to stock: "X" Addition to existing stock permitted
Capacity Check Method: "5" Usage based on SUT
Acct Capacity: checked"

Material master:
WM2 View: SUT populated with value
LE Quantity: 20 EA

Bin:
Total Capacity 20

In this scenario when I receive 100 parts in its creates 5 different proposed putaway locations but all to the SAME destination bin, what an I doing wrong. It should recommend 5 different bins to putaway
thanks in advance
