Why do you want split valuation in two different plants? Maintain one plant with a price in the MMR the other without price in the MMR? The plant without price in MMR receipt the materials at a Zero value so the material master does not update with a price.
Split valuation is to valuate same material differently in two different SLOC's in ONE plant.
Or am I wrong?

Yes, it should be possible to create a material as split-valuated in one plant, and non-split valuated in another plant since split valuation depends on the valuation area defined in the configuration. This should be tested though.
