Reply from JG-SAPHR on Dec 18 at 3:07 AM The include LXPADU00 or 01 is used by user functions called by the employee maintenance program (I think the name is SAPMP50A). Display the program to see how it checks for an infotype, assigning the current infotype data into a structure, then processing or validating it. However this is used when you display or maintain a record. To do a mass change, you can do following 1. Using LSMW with PA30 transaction recording 1.1 With SE16, download the infotype record data based on selection criteria into a Excel spread sheet. 1.2 In the file from 1.1, add a column, for new end date. 1.3 In this column of new end date, Use suitable Excel macros or manually derive the new end date 1.4 Save the file in .CSV format 1.5 Create a PA30 transaction batch recording to change end date. It is better to enter the data from one or two rows from the file of step 1.4. 1.6 With LSMW transaction, create a LSMW object using the above batch recording. Do all the steps of creating the object, up to the step where you execute batch session using foreground update. 1.7 Ensure you are satisfied that the infotype record is properly updated. 1.8 Try with say 10 records. 1.9 Save the batch recording and LSMW in a transport. 1.10 Move this to Test client. You can test similarly. 1.11 Move the transport to prod. 1.12 Make sure you have all the records required in the production client. 1.13 Run again a sample with batch session foreground update. 1.14 Then run the remaining of the update. 2. Using a z-program 2.1 Create a batch update program, copying an existing utility program. 2.2 Test this for a small number of records 2.3 After satisfying the program works correctly, do as in steps 1.10, 1.11 1.13, 1.14 above
