Reply from Savary on Nov 19 at 5:42 AM If the correct entry date is before (anterior to) the originally entered date, the utility Change Entry/Leaving date should work without error.
If the correct entry date is after (posterior to) the originally entered date, the utility Change Entry/Leaving will not work because of the payroll results prior to entry date which can no longer be processed.
If this is the case, the following entries should be made in the Actions infotype with PA30:
1-create action 70 (incorrect entry) at the originally entered date
2-create action 71 (corrected entry) at the correct entry date
This will set employment status at Withdrawn during the period from the originally entered date to the correct date and when payroll runs, it will reverse the results during this period without errors because all the data is available for payroll.

Subject: How to Delete Payroll Results
We are running ECC 6. Our Payroll department hired a new employee but used the incorrect hire date and then ran Payroll. We now want to use PA41 to change the hire date but it requires that we first delete the payroll results for that employee. We tried PU01 and also tried program RPUDEL20. However, both of these now generate an error message stating that this cannot be run in the production client. (We have used these successfully in the past but it has been quite some time since we last had to do it.) How can I delete the payroll results so we can use PA41? Or, alternately, is there another way to change the hire date that doesn't check payroll results? Thank you. |
