Specifically, how are you losing visibility of the raw materials requirements? What are the issues you are encountering?
I agree with Rob that your raw material requirements should be exploding down via the MRP run and you should be able to easily peg the requirements.
I'm mystified that you are using reorder point for finished goods. As a result the new FG requirement is only created after the FG stock level falls below the reorder point. This has the potential to delay the procurement of raw material and therefore delay production to rebuild FG stock.
In my experience you may be better served using safety stock instead of reorder point for your FG. This subtracts the safety stock qty from the MRP calculation and reduces the qty displayed in MD04, etc. but not MMBE. Make the safety stock available for orders. This will create the FG and raw material requirements in a more timely manner.
A min/max scheme may also work depending on your circumstances.
