SAP does not allow migration of systems to different databases unless you arrange this in advance.
You will probably not get a System license for more than 30 days, if that!
Your SAP agreement is only for one Database system.
I tried to install an IDES system with MaxDB instead of MSSQL Server and I could not because their policy is not to mix databases.
MaxDB is the standard database for the SCM Live Cache and Knowledge mgmt - this is OK , but your other systems must be in the licensed database.
I was able to order a Kit with IDES MaxDB , but could not install a license !

Subject: Migration from Oracle to MaxDB

Hi ,

If you want to migrate database oracle to MaxDB , Heterogeneous System copy
is the way but it is done by certified consultant only

Follow the system copy process

With Regards,
Mahi
