Reply from Nikki Klein on Nov 27 at 12:37 PM Hi Linh, Very few GL accounts must be maintained as Open Item Managed. The few that are include accounts such as the cash sub-accounts, and the GRIR account. What makes you decide to set a GL account as open item managed is the simple decision - would a debit posting to this account later be cleared by a matching credit posting (or vice versa)? If the answer is no, then do not make this account open item managed. SAP suggests that the following types of accounts only are open item managed: Bank clearing account Payroll clearing account Cash discount clearing account GR/IR clearing account Nikki

Dear all, Should or shouldn't we keep balance sheet accounts as open item managed? FYI, we are planning to extract data from SAP for Balance sheet upload to Hyperion. During testing it seems like it was getting all historical data (maybe >100,000 line items) which cause wrong balance. Please share your experience. Thank you very much. | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
