Hi Gaylord,

We managed this by using TVARVC variables. Shortly, each day a program in
a batch job recalculates the value of all the variables stored in table
TVARVC. This way, we can use those TVARVC variables in variants.

So let's say that in selection screen there is a select option "Period
from.... To" and I would like to have it set automatically to >= period -
1 of calender Z2. I use the variable &PR_-1_Z2_6_GE ( value is 40.2012 ).
I think you are looking for something similar to it.

In fact you will need the help of an ABAPer to do such a thing.

Pierre,
Regards

Subject: How To Create A Dynamic Default Fiscal Period Value For Query Selection

In my query I have a selection range for fiscal period (yyyy/mm). How can I set the start range to the current period by default using a variant?

I have created a parameter in the InfoSet and populated it with the correct value but I cannot get that into the query selection.

Furthermore, I tried to add a dynamic variable in the "Name of Variable" column in the Variant Attributes of the variant. However, "Dynamic Date Calculation" does not show in the selection variables drop down.

How can this be done?
