Okay, fully solved this time : in summary (all this applies to periodic price, maybe different if average of cumulative) :

1- Transaction KSS2 calculates the price as follow : Total costs (debit side of the cost center) / Total hours for all act types = gives an average rate
- then for each activity types included in the splitting (OKES) : nb of actual hours for this activity types x average rate => gives an amount (theoretical contribution of each act type to the cost)
2- Transaction KSII (can include KSS2 if checkbox "execute internal activity splitting" is ticked) stores this rate (check in KBK6)
3- Transaction CJN2 in my case (network activities) : for each activity type, difference between the amount calculated just above (theoretical contribution of each act type to the cost) and the cost due to activity allocation (or revenue, anyway credit side of the cost center corresponding to actual activity allocation), and then prorata, per order or network activity, according to the number of hours => this will be the posted amounts by CJN2, and the cost center is then balanced to 0.

Subject: KSII Price After Split With 2 Activity Types Not Correct

Hi all,

I have the following problem :

- 1 cost center
- 2 activity types
- 1 cost element CE1 with cost for 10000 EUR on this cost center
- activity type AT1 : allocation from this cost center to order O1 : 8 hours, for 800 EUR
- activity type AT2 : allocation from this cost center to order O2 : 12 hours, for 2160 EUR
=> then under-absorption of : 10000 - (2160 + 800) = 7040 EUR on the cost center.

i want to dispatch these 7040 on orders O1 and O2, to have balance 0 on the cost center.

I try then to use KSII, but when I run it, I get as a result :

- activity type AT1 : qty = 8 hours (correct), but Total Price = 500
- activity type AT2 : qty = 12 hours (correct), but Total Price = 500

As if in fact KSII was calculating Total cost (10000) / Total hours (12+8
) => 500
and dispach this equally to both activity types, whereas I expect :

- activity type AT1 : Total Price = 10000 / 8 = 1250
- activity type AT2 : Total Price = 10000 / 12 = 833.33

to later on balance to cost center with transaction CJN2.

Further information :

Customizing done in OKEV (price calculation activated in version 0)

Customizing done in OKES/OKEW, with a splitting structure assigned to the cost center :

- 1 line with all cost elements relevant for dispatch, including cost element CE1 above, with rule based on activity quantity, and the 2 activity types AT1 and AT2.
- 1 line with all cost elements excluded from dispatch, with rule "no splitting".

Running KSS2 gives the correct result :

- act type AT1 : 10000 x 8/20 = 4000
- act type AT2 : 10000 x 12/20 = 6000

So any idea why KSSI does not finish the correct calculation done by KSS2 ?

Thank you very much for your help

Patrick
