I doubt it would work, but have you tried a 552 reversal movement referencing the original 551? You would need to make sure the 552 is defined as the reversal for the 551 in t-code OMJJ, which it probably is setup. You may have an issue doing this though.
You could probably do reversal manually in MB1A, but you may not be able to reference the original material doc.
Is this being done via ABAP? This is the development forum.

I can't cancel my material movement with MBST.
