Reply from Marian Valky on Jun 12 at 3:18 AM Solution found by extending of the existing external number range. The FROM limit was changed from 1000000000 to 100000000. My findings: - it is not possible to have 2 external number ranges assigned to one number range group. - when new number range group is created system automatically proposes Internal number range to be created at first place. Only then as second interval you can add external Number range. - in case Internal number range is not needed, it can be deleted thus there will remain only external Number range for the specific Group.

Recently for impacted material groups only one external number range is defined which allows entering 10digits material numbers, defined as from 000000001000000000 to 000000009999999999. Now client request to start using 9 digits material numbers which I planned to defined as From 000000000100000000 000000000999999999. Question is how can I add new external number range to Material number range group? System gives me only an option to add Internal number range and the checkbox for External Number range is greyed out. Do I have to created new Material number range group and re-assign all material types to it? Am I right that once the re-assignment happen there will be no option how to add material numbers in old format (10digits) and only 9digits material numbers will have to be used for that material type? Thank you in advance for all your inputs. | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
