This report is for account balances split period wise, the best way to do is use report painter, this gives trend analysis, period on period, for the period, unto the period, etc.

Hello SAP Gurus,
I am a novice to SAP and need your guidance.
I have a requirement to create a report having : GL account balances w.r.t periods as columns across the top of the report.
Do I create a report using report printer report? If so, which report library, which report group to be used / report to be copied.
Do I create a custom ABAP report? If so, which tables to be considered?
I need your valuable suggestions. Advise and help to achieve the above requirement.
