Can you have 1 position assigned to multiple organizational units?

I would like to be able to then assign this position in my release strategy config. Is this possible?
We need the position in each org unit to be able to approve, based on the Hierarchy in each org unit.

The position reports to different cheifs in each org unit.

Hope this is enough information.
