Correct, I haven't used SAP before, but I found SAPGui and wanted to know if I could link that to Access, but the information wasn't what I was looking for or R/3 to a standalone database (Access) was also what I was thinking, but we don't have MS SQL Server. Is there no hope?

Subject: Connecting SAP R/3 to Access using ODBC

Hello Michael,

Quick question. Do you speak about a frontend-integration (SAPGui to load/work with local MS Access in some manner?) or do you want your SAP Netweaver/R/3 system to provide a database connection to a remote standalone database (in your case MS Access)? As for the latter, I know that it can be done for MS SQL Server using the DBACockpit or DBCO transactions to maintain a database connection. Not 100% sure about MS Access though?
With best regards
Robin
