I agree with Snowy, you should look at tools that might help you along the way. Do a search on google for subset sap test data as there are a couple of tools out there including the SAP tool mentioned above. I isn't a good idea to go this alone as there are a lot of data interdependencies that are needed.

Scenario:
We are going to create a new SAP client. The data will come from an existing 'company' within a client.
Plan:
We will develop ABAP programs to export data from old client and import programs to put these data to new client. Client to client copy not doable since we don't need all the data but only company-specific data. There are 5 companies within a single client.
Question:
Is this method correct or is there a better way of doing it?
Any comment you will provide will be highly appreciated.
