Hi Srinivas, Thanks a lot for the answer. Really appreciate it. I understand that this last configuration was a wrong approach. But the implementation was done in around 2003 somewhere. ...So long time back. Now I am supporting this client and this problem have erupted. It would be chaotic to do any changes in configuration cause all these codes are already being used since so long till date . Now looking back is of no use. At present I just need to start something new and sensible to avoid this problem further in future. Please support if you have any idea on this issue. For example any PCR or any other table where we can proceed and move further with the creation of new attendance or absence type. Great if there is some document. Waiting for response. Really appreciate If you can help me...Thanks . Vineeta

The processing type is used to group attendances or absences. You could group overtime separately and a handful of processing types should do the job. What could be unique could be your time types if required since you would be using a combination of time type and processing type when writing your pcr. Again as per the technical field specifications CLTIM = NUMC which is character type but digits only so you have no more room to add any value. This calls for change management since the last configuration was a wrong approach. Push for and demand that change. Again do not do it only with fancy presentations but build a prototype with a few processing types and unique time types or something even more better and showcase your change. All the best.
