But I still could not finish the issue. @TerryB: I think I've tried your method, but it will describe the predefined type of the column, like c, or d, or n, not the types in the abap dictionary like Quan, curr, char and so on. @soldner: may be your suggestion help, but I'm implementing the ALV due to an old way, which help me to edit the fields of a table. But by this way we don't use class cl_salv_column_table anymore, but use a fieldcatalog with the function module "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC". Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
