Vidhyadhar, The point that Waza made is that he orefers to give a hint in the right direction. The appendage to that statement is of no consequence, but you seem to have taken exception to that. If you change your perception a bit and look at the message conveyed, you should feel better. The message is "I prefer to give a hint" and the rest is background music. Enjoy it! Easy there. If you go back to the original post by Robert, all he obviously wants to know is how to use sets in validation and Waza gave a syntax example of set usage. It is basic boolean. Anna further provided the statement of logic. With these two, Robert could have written the validation as: Pre-req : HKONT IN <SET_NAME>. Check : KOSTL NOT IN <SET_NAME>. Message: Error. or Pre-req: HKONT IN <SET_NAME> AND KOSTL IN <SET_NAME> Check: nothing Message: Error. or the way you put it. (Though logically correct, one would try and avoid multiple negatives to enable easy reading.) You see, there was no need for the full solution here, the hint would have been just enough. And nobody would be unemployed by providing this detail either. The point I tried to make in my response was that one should be willing to take the helpful hints provided by the experienced and busy professionals in this board and develop their solution with it - focusing on Waza's point - provide a hint....... Yes, even I don't provide the full details of solutions citing IP implications! But, if you are desperate for the solution, you know who to go to - of course, with your check ready!! Again, enjoy the music! I need to have the rule give an error whenever a cost center in a set is attempting to post on a GL account in another set. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. > > Thanks, > Robert | __.____._ Copyright © 2010 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
