Hi,

I believe in your system that whenever an employee changes PA, his old personnel no will becomes "Withdrawn" and a new personnel no is created.

In such cases, you can make use of "Technical Date of Entry" in IT0041 to store the date that the employee first joined the company. This field comes in handy in many instances, such as to calculate gratuity as in your case, determines length of service, calculates benefits entitlement (e.g. leave entitlement) based on seniority, etc.

As to your query that personnel no should not change when an employee changes PA, this has to go back to your blueprint doc to find out the rationale of doing so in your system.

Hope this helps.

Rgds,
CL
