Sorry, forgot you were doing it in the sales order.
1. Try the planning profile maintenance ? Selection profile you can add a HUM material. Though never tested it before.
2. Add a special condition to shipment cost procedure with a requirement for sales order only and use it so it will select the correct HUM and then do the calculations.

Yes the weight measurements are there..but that will not have an impact because system takes the weight from the material master and adds it only when you have a line item for packing material...in my case I am not adding them as a line item in sales order or delivery...this is a case of non-inventory managed packing material where there will be no goods issue so no line item is required for them...In this case I am interested to know how can the weight of the packing material be reflected in the total weight for shipping....
