We do not use source list but I have tried it and it's working. May be for this specific scenario, we can start using source lists. As I have tested, I have created a source list record and mentioned only the vendor, I wanted to restrict the purchasing and I got an error message while creating PO as "Source blocked as per source list". I hope creating a source list only to restrict the items to be procured from some vendors will not impact our routine procurement cycle. Any further thoughts on it will be much appreciated.

Hi Salman
You can block a particular material from a vendor in the source list.. You do this by mentioning the material and the vendor for a given validity date. You can see a tick box for Block in the source list maintenance screen..
