Hi,
contrary to what Arun and SAdiq told you, it is not necessary to stop DB, but yes, it is necessary to stop SAP.
I would update the kernel manually, check the wiki section of ittoolbox to learn how. On Windows, you must disable SAP* services to make sure that all is fine. you must also update 2 locations, not just one.,
