Hi Nnamdi,
You have to edit the profiles at the on the operating system:
<Drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\profile
or
/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile
Instance Profile:
<SID>_DVEBMGS##_<Hostname>
Default Profile:
DEFAULT.PFL
Start Profile:
START_DVEBMGS##_<Hostname>
Changes are usually made to the Instance Profile
