Hi Harish,
What I can get from your issue is that the period currently active in your system is 10/2008. So close 10th period through MMPV rather than 9th period. That means that while closing the period in MMPV, you have to enter 11 as your next period. However initialization using MMPI is not advisable as you may not only lose the inventory history reports but may also develop data inconsistencies. Reply if you need to know more.

Hi Rob,
Yeah am working in a test environment and PGI's have not been transacted at all.
And have tried closing the periods sequentially, but stil mb1c gives me the same error when trying to update the stock.
I tried your solution but am unable to open the period 2008/11 and gives me the folowing error - "Follow the instructions in Note 487381 before initialization"
When trying to close the period for 2008/09 it gives the folllowing error -
"Incorrect period in control rec. of CoCd SPEN; no coversion
The current period (month/year) of the control record is 102008. "
