[sap-netweaver-l] NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 trial version installation issue

Has anyone tried installing the NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 trial version ? I've noticed that the installation gets stuck at Step # 13 (creating database schema) for hours and does not proceed. I have followed the steps correctly to the best of my knowledge and the system on which I am installing the software also satisfies the requirements as specified.
The logs, too do not show any activity during this step.
I am installing on a virtual environment which has Windows 2003 Server, 3.5 GB RAM, 40GB free space on the installation drive. Also have JRE 1.4.2_7 installed on the machine. Swap file space configured is 20GB.
Pls let me know if anyone has faced this issue and a solution to this if possible..I have tried fresh installationa 4-5 times always getting stuck at the same step.
Any guidance around this is appreciated.
