no nee to create Diff MIC For QP.

Hi All,
In the QM module, I have created Codes shade A, shade B and assign them to Code Group, shade and assign them to selected set 01. this is created under catalog 1. Now in the master inspection characteristics also i assign this selected set.
1. when i create the inspection plan again i have to create the inspection characteristics. why is that?
2. what is the difference or similarity between the codes i created (shade A, sha B) and the characteristics i create in the inspection plan?
3. If i want to enter some value to the codes i created (shade A, shade B) and get the usage decision depend on that what are the steps for that? because when i was doing a cycle in no where i get to enter values for these code?
kindly answer these question as im in the verge of implementing QM (procurement) part in the company and i have a doubt regarding these?
