I am a bit confused by your reply saying that you added S_TCODE and now it works. IF you add the z-tcode to the menu manually, it should have been added to the s_tcode object automatically which would mean you should NOT have to add it manually.
I would create a test role and add one or two z-tcodes to it at the menu level. Check within the objects and see if S_TCODE is there and whether your z-tcodes were added. If not, there may be something else happening.
IF they ARE there, your manual addition would not be needed and you will need to go back to your original role and see what you may have done incorrectly.
