I had thought that in order to get that particular scenario to occur you needed a 3rd party add-on product to replace the supplied Kerberos mechanism. The standard mechanism is going to use the workstation-cached ticket that it got upon Windows AD logon (without prompting the user to re-enter).

maybe you can get the same effect using this new-fangled secure logon client/server. They make it look like it would work. I have not tried that myself.

Thanks for the reply! We've done this in many of our portal systems (JAVA). Seems simple enough there. But evidently ABAP is a different animal altogether. At least, the terms are different. :)
