There are a series of decision points that will occur when you are troubleshooting an issue. The first is to isolate the issue to the application that is the root cause. That is the initial point where you might reach out to the team responsible for that application. If you find that the issue is SAP related, then you isolate the issue to the particular SAP application (ECC, Portal, BW, etc.) Should the cause of the issue not readily appear, that is when you research SAP Notes, the SAP Service Marketplace (where you can find every last security guide for any SAP application), ITtoolbox and other SAP sites. And you can always post your question here. Regards

I have another question. My employee and I are very new to SAP security and have only taken one SAP Security class and that was about 2 years ago. Now that my consultant is rolling out we went to him for help when we got stuck on a security issue when troubleshooting an issue. What do you do when you get stuck on an security issue? Do you have groups or people you contact or just bounce the issue around with in your security group? | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | In the Spotlight Become a blogger at Toolbox.com and share your expertise with the community.
