The scenario: A vendor provides a list of prices, and a list of set up charges based on the quantity ordered. For example, the material costs $20 per 1,000 UN. If we order 10,000 UN, there is no set up charge. If we order 5,000 UN the vendor adds a $500 set up charge. We want the set up charge to be included in the PO price, not an extra line on the PO. This can be managed with scales but that will be more complex in the long run (changes) plus it is confusing to the vendor because the PO price will not match the vendor's price even though the PO total value could be correct. It should be possible to create an item-level quantity-based PO price condition to automatically add a set up charge based on the PO quantity and build it into the PO price. Has anyone ever done this? If so, can you provide some guidance?
