Reply from tilgulkarcn on Apr 7 at 1:06 AM Hi, Based on excise group statutory returns are filed. Therefore when there is separate registration one need to have separate group. Hence, there is possibility in a location there could be multiple plants, but registration is one hence one excise group. Series are document series and normally excise authorities restrict you one series per registration in SAP parlance group. To summarize, you may have one company code, more excise groups (depends on location - excise registration and series accordingly) All the best. CNT

My first doubt is how excise groups are created? Is it based on plant or based on Excise registers? I have already done my research on several sites and I got mixed up answers one told me it is based on plant eg if you three plants then you will be having 3 excise groups as well and based on excise group you will be defining the series which is just to classify excise by providing different number ranges. Is it true? | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
