Reply from Waelz, Dean on Apr 24 at 3:35 PM OK I can't keep quiet any more. Someone configured the SAP GUI app server hostname to be set to a string = "version". It complains that it can't find an SAP host named "version" (quote from the posted error: "hostname 'version' unknown"). Enter the correct host name in SAP GUI.

I'm not saying this won't work. I am still using SAPGUI 7.30 myself. But, If I get an issue, SAP will automatically answer that an upgrade is needed because they don't support my old version.
I also know a company still using SAP R/3 3.1g... This is not the point! |
