As you are aware, using Symbol, Intermec and other high end scanning devices can be pricey.

I have seen Armoractive demonstrate using a lanyard bluetooth barcode scanner with the ipad which is another interesting option.

My client wants to use tablets (instead of RF guns) for scanning barcodes in warehouse operations and material transfers. I do not have experience with tablets as RF scanning devices. Most of my projects are with Symbol or other makes.
Does anyone has experience with tablets as RF scanning devices? Any pros and cons you can list using tablets versus handheld scanning deveices?
