In our test SAP system, a user posted Manual Depreciation in 2015 using Transaction Code AB01 and Depreciation Key 0000. Without actually posting the depreciation using the Depreciation Posting Run AFAB, he then changed the Depreciation Key back to ZSLN. Now to open FY 2017 in Asset Management I need to close 2015 as no more than 2 years can be opened at the same time, but when I try to close 2015 using AJAB I am getting the message that for the said asset 'Depreciation/Updating of values has errors.' When I look at the Asset Explorer AW01N for the asset, I get the error message

I have an Asset Substitution Rule created to change a Depreciation Key from ZSLN to 0000 and I am thinking that I could use it to change the Depreciation Key back and post the Manual Depreciation. However, the Asset Balances Transaction AR01 also requires the Fiscal Year change to 2017.
Please advise how I can post this manual depreciation to close FY 2015 or simply remove the asset from the asset register. I tried retiring it using Transaction Code ABAVN, but the same
Manual Depreciation Error AA633 error.
I also tried reversing the manual posting using AB08, but the same Manual Depreciation error.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
