We just began using SAP b1 July 1, 2016. Our consultant imported our previous chart of accounts and did the setup work. he just did not flag revenue as sales and expenses as Expenditures in the COA so the cost centers we used in AR and AP invoices failed to post to the GL under the respective cost centers. He should have caught that AND warned me as I have added new items to the COA since July 1 as well. SAP should really get rid of OTHER in COA set up or at least warn you that using OTHER will mean Cost Center elements will not appear in the general ledger under that cost center.

if I do a journal entry to a cost center, it posts the amount under that cost center to the GL and it shows up on the P&L report. If I post an amount to a Cost Center using AR invoice and AP invoice, the amount to the cost center does not post to GL and does not show up on the P&L. We just started using SAP Business One in July. Did i miss something in the configuration of the Cost Centers?
