Question from numbersguyPA on Aug 12 at 10:48 AM One of the most disappointing features of SAP B1 for our non-profit is its inability to track pledges in accounting.
Under GAAP we are required to properly post pledges donors make, posting the pledge as Pledges in revenue when made and to book a Pledge/Promises Receivable. As the controller, I need to produce a report to give to management, the development director, and out banker showing the pledges that were made and payments against those pledges. Our consultant gave us a procedure to do this using Blanket Agreement BUT there are no Cost Centers in the BA, so i have no way to indicate the project or Cost Center name -- like Building Project - and thus no real way to track pledges. I am sure we are no the only nonprofit using SAP B1. Someone must have found an answer to this problem. Appreciate your help.
