Question from numbersguyPA on Aug 12 at 10:34 AM Our organization is a US nonprofit. We have donors who write personal checks as well as use a charitable investment fund to send donations to us. Most charitable funds warn us not to send a donor receipt to the donor since they will send them a report of their tax deductible receipts. If we send them a donor receipt letter (DRL) too, they the donor may accidentally claim the donation twice.
To alleviate this problem, we create the charitable fund as a Customer/Donor is SAP Business One. Now we need a way to link the two business partners together so our development dept will know that this donor John Doe also uses Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund.
Similar to this, we may have a BP for a husband, another a wife, and still others for their children who each donate individually to us. However, we need to be able to link them together so we know they are a family. How can I do this?
