Once you split a dual stack system the resulting systems act like two individual systems, and you can create the system copy exports as you would if they were two independent systems. That being said, though, since these two systems are actually "logically" connected, it would make sense to ensure both the ABAP system and Java system are down and both exports taken at the same time to ensure logical consistency between the two system copy exports. You could use either the R3load approach for the Java export, or you could use the database-specific approach, depending on your requirements.

Subject: SAP HANA System Copy

Hi Guys,

Good Day. Just a quick query. Here's my current system:

OS: Windows Server 2008 (Apps Server)
DB for Java: MS SQL 2008 (Reside on Apps Server)
DB for Abap: SAP HANA Rev 100
Abap and Java Apps server are in the same host
Abap DB are in different host
Current SAP System : EH7 ERP 6.0 SR2

Actually guys this was a dual stack before. We split it before migrating to SAP HANA. Right now everything is working fine when I do a system copy for Abap only (HANA DB). What approach do I need to do to also to get the Java Instance. Remember that the java instance are still reside in apps server where abap and java installed.

At the back of my mind thinking that I need to do a r3load based system copy but how since they have both different DB

My company requirements is to do system copy of abap and java. How can I perform this? Abap are in SAP Hana and Java are in SQL Server 2008.

Thanks all.
