You will need to tell SAP how to handle the depreciation calculation via a setting in the depreciation key...the Scrap Value setting under Assignment of Calculation Methods. 2. In the same depreciation key field mentioned in 1., choose the option: Consideration is controlled by cutoff value key. Then define a cutoff value key to have the scrap percentage you desire. Finally, assign the cutoff value key to the depreciation key

Example- The asset is capitalized for $1000 and at the end of the life we can purchase it for $10 so the asset should only depreciate $990 not the full $1,000.
