Thank you for your replies.

Our 3 production facilities are within one block of one another. The Hub is about 4 miles away. What are the pros/cons between #1 and #2 specifically? How does MRP work in each scenario to know where/when parts need to move between facilities? Are there any workarounds to facilitate ATP between all facilities in scenario #1 without implementing APO?

Subject: Logistics Set Up Determination in SAP

We are in the beginning stages of implementing SAP and wondering with several physical locations within on small town(one hub which includes a PDC and 3 separate production buildings) what is the best plant/warehouse/storage location structure? Our current process(legacy MRP system) utilizes custom reports to know what products need to be moved between facilities and moves are done manually. While this is not ideal for our warehouse staff, we like the global ATP and MRP plans for purchasing. We are part of a larger implementation, but no other facilities have similar physical layouts, so I'm looking for outside guidance. WM not IM has been determined. Please let me know what other info might be needed for proper feedback!
