Reply from Bob Gladd on Feb 25 at 9:30 AM SAP offers extensive flexibility for proration or factoring of wage types. You can define various proration or factoring rules and assign them to different wage types respectively. For example you can prorate based on calendar days or work days. Or you can prorate when an employee terminates from the company but not when they go on un paid leave. There are endless possibilities that you can configure. You first need to get a good functional definition of exactly how you want to prorate for the various earnings and deduction wage types. Then you create these different functional rules for each of the factoring wage types starting with /801 through /816. This is done in a series of personnel calculation rules; XPPF, XPP0, XPPP and XPP1. After you define and then create the various factoring rules to each /8xx WT, you assign them to be applied to earnings and/or deduction wage types via processing class 10.
