We have ECC6, with new G/L and document splitting. Our business has about 50 legal companies in the same controlling area, with Business units working across many of these companies. We currently have a naming convention which embeds the company code (e.g. P500****, where P=Profit Centre and 500=company code). SAP allows the use of the same profit center across company codes in the same controlling area.
We have just been through a business restructure and have been asked to investigate the pros and cons of keeping the same profit center across company codes. Does anybody have any documents that might help?
