Thanks for all your inputs. I believe there is no satisfactory option apart from creating a new company code. By the way if I simply copy an existing company code will this also be able to copy all the relevant settings applicable to the existing company? This would save lot of config work though of course the org units will still need to be created. Regards, Luxman Shankar CMA

However, you can set a local currency on the G/L account at the company code level, which will force entries into that currency regardless of the company code currency.
