Reply from Ron Roberts on Oct 23 at 1:43 PM Even though you are giving an asset value date earlier, the asset cannot post depreciation to a date earlier than it exists. If you post it as of October (and you are on a calendar year), and you have already processed depreciation for prior months, October will be the first month to have depreciation posting. The asset explorer transaction reflects this if you look at the Planned values tab.

Hi Team,
Business doing inter company asset transfer from A company code asset to B company code asset without changing any Dep Key(dep to day not selected), Prod control and Dep start date in B company code asset master data.
While executing ABT1N Business giving asset value date as 01/05/2014.
But posting and document date in 16/10/2014.
In AW01N transaction for the asset B showing plann dep(total value) from Oct 2014 instead of May 2014.
Business wants now plann dep should show from May 14 instead Oct 2014.
Please let me know inputs for above issue.
