Please note the sequence of steps below for any pay period and payroll area.
1. Payroll simulation for the period as required. For payroll simulation for any period, releasing the payroll area is not required.
2. Even FI/CO posting simulation can be done with pay roll simulation. This should be done normally for selected person/s to check for any problems, but not for everyone.
In posting selection screen, change document typento "T"; click "Cost Planning" button, and enter payroll variant (created for RPCALx0). Run posting - this simulates payroll within FI/CO posting.

3. Correct any data or config as required. If necessary, repeat steps 1 & 2.
To correct employee data, pay roll area is to be set in correction mode or exit mode (not released mode).
4. Release payroll area for the required pay period.
5.. Live pay roll run.
6.1. Simulation: banking advices & FI/CO posting. Check for errors
6.2 Reports - e.g., Pay reconciliation, Exception Reports like excess payments/deductions,
6.3 Repeat step 3 if necessary.
7. Exit payroll area
8. Live: banking advices, posting.
9. Reports - e.g., payslips, pay reports.
