Reply from Deepak K. Mehta on Jul 24 at 8:46 AM Amit, 1) If you are serious about a career in SAP, learn at an authorized centre. The training material, system availability and faculty will be much better than those at unauthorized centres. However, it will be way more expensive, so try it only if you are really serious, not if you are merely exploring an option. 2) Please don't expect the authorized centres (or anyone else) to get you your break, after the course If they do, it is a bonus. You must have your own plan (using your existing network etc.) for that. Have the plan in place before you join the course. 3) To the best of my knowledge, people start with some minimum SAP exposure and knowledge (practical, not theoretical) and they get into DW. In such a case, the person taking the DW course has knowledge of how the software behaves, table structures, Data Types etc. Getting straight into DW without prior SAP exposure may enable you to know the product but it will be difficult to relate it to the underlying business application (compared to someone with prior SAP knowledge). See if you can learn a minimum of SAP before getting into DW. Good Luck to your endeavors. Disclosure: 1) I am not associated with any of SAP's authorized Education centres. No on-going business or employee-employer relationship. 2) I have been in SAP since 2001 and am certified in MM & SRM from SAP authorized centres in Bangalore. 3) I have conducted many certification training sessions (in SRM & MM) for SAP India and their authorized centres but as an independent trainer - a purely contractual relationship. Apart from this I think there are other authorized centres as well like ATOS etc. Not sure about unauthorized one's but I think there will be many. Authorized centers are way expensive than non authorized. Thanks Ravinder Pal Singh | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
