Reply from Nikki Klein on Jun 23 at 1:07 PM Hi Vijay, Business Area is a logical entity that is higher than Cost Center but lower than Company Code. It is typically used for creating line of business / segment type reporting within the organization. The Business Area is assigned on a Cost Center. In your case, the original cost center that is on the asset master belongs to Business Area xxxx, but the new cost center you wish to assign has a different Business Area 6N00 on it. SAP is preventing the change because it understands that you are trying to push the asset into a different reporting area. I'd suggest talking to your finance users to make sure that the new cost center is in fact the correct one. If it is, then look into making that error message "warning", change the asset, and reset the error message back afterwards. Nikki
